Ambon Island: The Other Indonesia’s Beautiful Beach

Ambon, the small island in Maluku Province, west of Indonesia. Ambon has many beautiful beach, virgin beach and untouch before of general human activity. Ambon is just about 2,5 hours by plane from Surabaya or about 1,5 hours from Makassar. When you arrive at Pattimura, Aiport of Ambon, you can continue your journey by taxi to city center and it takes 1,5 hours by pay around IDR200,000. It’s expensive enough for us but there’s no other transportation to bring you to the town from airport. Actually there’s any motorcycle taxi, as known by Ojek, but I don’t suggest you to go by.

There are many spot for enjoying the beautiful of beach in Ambon Island. For the first day, you can go to Natsepa Beach. The beach is crowded enough but there’s a special snack that very crispy and delicious also. It’s Pisang Goreng or Fried Banana. And if you’re lucky, you can find Durian with low price and you can bring as want as you can. From Natsepa, you can continue your journey to Liang Beach. The beach is located in the edge of Ambon Island or rihgt at crossing of Seram Island. The beach is very beautiful with white sand and smoth wave.
